Summary of Anthony Head's storyline:

Episode 1.04: Lynne Howard attends a party being hosted by the wealthy Phil Norton. Phil spends as much time flirting with Lynne as his hosting duties will allow. The sailing-obsessed Lynne asks Phil if he plans to enter the upcoming Fastnet Race. He says that he is and when Lynne asks if he has room for her to join his crew, he invites her to go sailing with him. The next day, they take out Phil's boat, the Mickey Mouse. Lynne proves herself to be an accomplished sailor. Phil is impressed but still spends most of the time checking out her figure. 

Episode 1.05: Phil stops by the Yacht Club where Lynne works and continues to flirt with her. He invites her out and she asks if he means on the boat. That wasn't what he meant but he agrees. Lynne's brother Leo observes the flirtation and is worried because of Phil's reputation with women.

Episode 1.06: Phil invites Lynne to go sailing with him and some friends and she happily agrees. After the sail is over, Phil asks her to go sailing again. When Lynne arrives the next day, she is surprised that it is just the two of them. Phil tells her that he wants to see how she handles a boat without a full crew and hints that he is still deciding on his crew for the upcoming Fastnet. When they take a break for lunch, Phil decides to make his move on Lynne. She rebuffs him and he accuses her of being a professional virgin. Lynne insists they head back. He refuses and she jumps off the boat and swims over to another nearby boat for a ride back to shore.

Episode 1.07: Phil and some of his friends show up at the Yacht Club while Lynne is working. He gives her a hard time and she ends up apologizing for the day before. Phil brushes her off and tells her that he had no intention of ever making her part of the race crew, even if she had slept with him. Lynne is furious when he says that women are not as good at yacht racing and says she'll prove him wrong.

Episode 1.09: The time for the Fastnet race has arrived. Lynne has finally found a boat to crew on - with an all-female crew. Naturally, Phil stops by to mock them and Lynne tells him to get lost. She tells her crewmates that they have to beat him. Once the race has started, Lynne's boat is neck and neck with Phil's. He exhorts his crew to not let themselves be beaten by a bunch of women. The women ultimately pull ahead, leaving Phil's boat behind. (Although it's not seen, it is later said that Phil's boat came in first, but Lynne's won in its class.)
